The TNT Hotline
As you realize by now we crazy Team in Training people run in all kinds of weather, and that can mean cold, rain, sleet and snow. However with the winter season now upon us, there is always the possibility that we will encounter a severe enough storm or other weather conditions that we determine makes it too dangerous to run or to travel to a run location.
If you are wondering whether a group training session is going to be cancelled due to weather conditions, please call the TNT emergency hotline number which is:
908-956-6643
A message greeting will play with information about the weekend's training. Please note that in most cases a decision on a cancellation is not made until late evening the night before, or even very early morning the day of a run, so you are best off calling the hotline early morning before you leave to get the most current information.
Please also be aware that whether we cancel a run is based on the best information the lead coach for that run has at that time, and those conditions may not be the same as in your area. So if a run is not cancelled and you see bad weather, it still may be in your best interest to stay home if you feel weather conditions at your location and on the roads will make it unsafe for you to travel - that is your decision.
Finally if we do have to make a last minute change or cancellation of a group run the coaches will make an attempt to call any participants who have RSVP'ed for that run. So make sure you RSVP to your coaches for runs you plan to attend!
